SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) Trunk is the standard used today for Telco Lines that connect to your PBX. These are used for connecting to Telcos for routing calls Inbound and Outbound to your company PBX..

DID Virtual International & Local Phone Numbers
DID (Direct Inward Dialing) basically means your phone number. These can be local for the country you are in or also for other countries International. These are used for Inbound calls and for displaying your CallerID when placing Outbound calls. Great for when you have business in remote countires and would like customer to be able to place local call rates to your business or when you would like to display a local CallerID for the country you are calling to.
With the popularity of SIP Trunks a feature of SMS Messaging is being used more and more today. Which means if desired a DID Number or SIP Trunk, if allowed by your Telco, cansend and receive SMS Messages. You would need an IP (hard or softphone) to use this feature.
Initially 1-800 Toll Free numbers were started in the USA but have grown to be used more and more Internationally. These are available in Thailand ประเทศไทย, many other countries, and International.
